Philip Marchetti

Bio
Philip is an experienced product manager who has spent his career at the intersection of innovation practices, human-centered design, and technology product development. An active alumnus of the III (MPD ’14), he is currently a product manager at Maven Machines, a Pittsburgh-based SaaS startup.
Prior to Maven, Philip worked as a product manager at Aurora (previously Uber ATG), where he defined and built novel self-driving vehicle behaviors to satisfy the operating needs of ride-hailing and long-haul trucking applications. To begin his career, he spent over five years in the NYC area honing his product skills across emerging technologies & innovation at NBCUniversal, Verizon, and a startup design consultancy.
Philip has a passion for guiding & inspiring the next generation of innovators. Professionally, he was responsible for running Verizon’s corporate-university innovation partnerships. He was also an adjunct faculty member of the Hynes Institute for Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Iona College where he taught graduate-level courses in Innovation and Design Thinking—and was involved in the Iona Innovation Challenge, a student startup competition.
Outside of work and the institute, Philip is an avid runner, Pittsburgh evangelist, and father to two young boys.
